Following companies have developed their businesses in this area:
- DUNFROST : A 1.400.000 cu.ft. refrigerated warehouse
- DUNFRESH (26.000 m²) and BANALLIANCE (5.000 m²) : Contrrolled temperature warehouses dedicated to fruit and vegetable logistics
- MAERSK ENTREPOTS : Two 10.000 m² warehouses (toys, paper, textiles)
- MGF Logistique : A 20.000 m² logistics warehouse (mineral water and household appliances)
- OMKA : A 10.000 m² storage warehouse for canned fish imported by the Omka company
Logistical developments are in progress on this particularly well located area. FONCIERE EUROPE LOGISTIQUE has decided to build two rail-connected warehouses of 20.000 m² (215.000 sq. ft.). The first one has been inaugurated on Novemver 14th, 2008.
This zone, where 5 ha. (12 acres) are still available, has been complemented by a new 190 ha. (470 acres) area named "Dunkerque Logistique International", of which the first 60 ha. (148 acres) are in the process of development. This new logistical park is connected to the rail network and is suitable for extremely large warehouses.
DAILYFRESH Logistics is building a 6.000 m² (65.000 sq. ft.) warehouse (with an extension up to 18.000 m² (194.000 sq. ft.) and TAILLIEU LOGISTIQUE NORD (TLN), will be developing there 15.000 m² (161.500 sq. ft.) in three steps. The first one (3.100 m² - 33.400 sq. ft.) is operating since the end of 2007.

Overland access: all modes of transport
The Port of Dunkirk is directly connected to the European motorways network through the two interchanges A25-E42 and A16-E40.
A25-E42 leads to the South and Southeast via Lille and Paris via the A1 motorway A16-E40 leads to Brussels, Luik and Germany, and via E16-E19 to Ghent, Antwerp and Rotterdam A16-E40 leads to Belgium and to the Channel Tunnel
The Dunkirk - Valenciennes canal accomodates convoys of 1,350-ton (3,600 dwt) barges and inland/sea-going barges feeding the Nord-Pas-De-Calais region. It connects to the Belgian and European canal networks for barges up to 1,350 tons, and to the Paris region for barges up to 600 tons. Dunkirk offers several possibilities for container transport by river barges to and from the inland ports of Lille, Béthune, Dourges and Valenciennes.
The rail network links Dunkirk to the Paris region, to eastern France and to the Belgian, German, Swiss and Italian rail networks.

The port has 3,000 hectares (7,400 acres) of prime sites by the sea available for immediate development and abundant and diversified energy sources (oil and petroleum products, gas, coal, nuclear and wind power).
